I just received this image today, not sure who originated it, but I think it tells a great story.
In the end, it is about understanding what you do and why? People know what they do. . . they are doctors, lawyers, accountants, bricklayers, engineers, etc., but very few of them truly understand what makes them valuable and can tell their own unique story.
This goes for businesses and people alike. Everyone seems to be focussed on what they do and not why they do things. The what, leads you to become a commodity, the whyshows your value to others and what sets you apart.
What is your WHY?
How are you differentiating what you do in the market from others? What makes you valuable and worthy of people spending their money and time on you and your goods or services? What can you do to solve their unique problems and how will you do it?
Take the time to find out why you do things. What is your true passion and how is that valuable to others? It most likely is, you just need to figure out how and why.
