I personally love January. There is always something exciting about the turning over of a new year that makes me take stock of where I am personally and professionally, evaluate critically, adjust and move forward.
We all need to take time every so often to take stock of our brand, our marketing strategies and our tactics. We need to determine what is working and what is not, if we are being true to our brand and if not, evaluate and change. It could be that the brand has changed focus (or lost focus) or that the tactics are misaligned with the objectives of the brand. Whatever you may discover, taking the time to evaluate and modify can do nothing but improve who you are as a company and how people view and relate to you.
Seth Godin wrote a piece mid December that sums this up perfectly. I believe that only by being critical of our own success, evaluating who we are as brands, understanding the value we bring to the table and living up to the promises we make can brands thrive in the long term.
Let’s work together in 2012 to critically evaluate your brand and develop long term strategies that will Get YOU Noticed!
