This summer, Health Canada released updates to its Industry Guide to Children’s Jewellery and its Guide to Notices of Violation and Administrative Monetary Penalties under the CCPSA (Canada Consumer Product Safety Act).
The Industry Guide to Children’s Jewellery examines the safety requirements that apply under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) and under the Children’s Jewellery Regulations. It also explains how legislation applies to the lead content of children’s jewelry, defines children’s jewelry and which products fall within its scope and specifies the analytical test methods.
Health Canada’s Guide to Notices of Violation and Administrative Monetary Penalties under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act summarizes the requirements of the Administrative Monetary Penalties (Consumer Products) Regulations and related provisions under the authority of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) as administered by Health Canada’s Consumer Product Safety Program.
