Here are some updates that I have received regarding CCPSA (Canadian Consumer Product Safety Act as of December 2013.
With the coming into force of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act on June 20th 2011, the Consumer Product Safety Program (Program) identified the need to establish a risk assessment framework. The purpose of this Risk Assessment Framework is to provide clarity and guidance to internal and external stakeholders on the principles and processes associated with risk assessment in the Program and to support a risk based approach to determine where the Program should focus its attention. This framework provides a foundation for consistent assessment of risks in a manner that is systematic, structured and based on the best available evidence. The Framework establishes a basis for decision-making on human health or safety risks posed by products.
Please find attached a working draft of the Health Canada Consumer Product Safety Program draft Risk Assessment Framework for your information and review. You are invited to submit feedback to [email protected] by January 30, 2014.
Please find here PDF copies of the risk assessment document for you to download in ENGLISH and FRENCH.

We believe that by taking these extra steps when designing, developing and implementing promotional marketing programs we reduce both the risk of injury to those who receive the product and the risk of liability to those implementing the program.
We have seen, through watching the experience of others, that spending a little less in the beginning can have enormous costs both financially and reduced brand capital in the long run.
