Top 10 Innovative Ideas We Found at PPAI Expo 2013

2013 was another banner year at the PPAI Expo.    Each January, we descend from above the 49th Parallel to Las Vegas to find unique communication pieces for our clients that will Get YOU Noticed!

Not only is there 1500 + suppliers and hundreds of thousands of products to look at, but there are amazing educational days, networking events, parties and general sessions with amazing speakers.

I was lucky enough to take the time to hear the opening day speaker this year –  Ken Schmidt.    The man knows how to capture an audience’s attention, but to be perfectly honest he had me at “we are giving away a free Harley Davidson at the end of this session”.   Ken’s talk focussed on the value of having Brand Enthusiasts.    Those people who talk about you glowingly, when you are not there to prompt them.   The people who sell your brand for you because they love what you do and cannot wait to tell others.    Here is a part of a similar talk taken from the Keppler Speaker series.

Creating the foundation for others to see the value in what you do is essential to the success of any business today.   It is about developing strategies to allow those whom you wish to influence to get excited about you and your product and share the value with what you do with others.

 #10  The Javalina Stylus Pen

I know, I know, it’s a pen.   What’s the big deal?   The answer to this is that it is a unique new category of pen that will help Get YOU Noticed! by your clients and will end up in their breast pocket or “go to place” and not lost in a drawer somewhere.   WHY?   Really simple, it is dual function.  It is a pen and a stylus.   Not only that, you don’t have to flip it around in order to use the stylus like you do on most pens of this type.  All you do is click the pen, the writing instrument either appears or goes away and you are off to your next task.      Give someone a useful tool and they will use it and think of you and the value your company brings to the table.
