In the fall of 2010, our client came to us asking for ways to promote their new program- Caring About Food Safety. They were looking for an economical and innovative way to spread the word and get the program noticed. We assessed that communicating this through the community centres throughout the Province of BC would be a great way to reach the intended audience. With that said, they wanted a way to quickly grab the attention of their audience members, have them immediately understand the call to action and give them impetus to act. We worked with them and developed a jar openers in a variety of colours that could be left on the counter and given away.
People saw value in the jar openers, took them home and read the call to action. This led them to the course and created a successful campaign to teach food safety in a simple, yet effective manner to those outside the hospitality environment.
Congratulations on being named a finalist in the Premier’s Innovation and Excellence Awards.
A job well done!
