Health Canada, a department of Canada’s federal government, has issued an industry guide on mandatory reporting under the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act’s Section 14, “Duties In The Event Of An Accident.” The guide is intended to help industry understand their obligations under Section 14. Section 14 states that industry must report to Health Canada after they become aware of a health or safety incident involving its consumer product.
