It was a wonderful Father’s Day at Garry Point in Steveston this year. The Canadian Liver Foundation Stroll for Liver was a great success and we were happy to be part of the fun.
Here is a letter we received:
Dear Board Members and supporters of the Canadian Liver Foundation,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank your support for yesterday’s Stroll for Liver! Despite the many, and I mean many, challenges we had in the months planning, preparing, recruiting (participants and volunteers), and organizing the event, it turned out to be a great, fun day with the weather cooperating and about 150 walkers and 25 volunteers participating! The Mayor looked happy to see the crowd although I don’t understand why he didn’t want to lead the National Anthem. While I am still tallying the total, I believe we exceeded our net goal of $13,500. We should know the number in our June financial statement.
It was great to see Dr. Ho, Jacob, Marvin, Kevin, Ben, Rita, Rosanne, Paul, Janice, Mandy and your families, friends and colleagues. Thank you everyone who helped fund raise for the event. A special thanks to Jacob who surprised us (not Mark and me as we knew earlier) with the convertible Jaguar with CLF logo on it. It was a hot spot for photo taking. Dr. Ho made a great suggestion that next year, we should ask people to make a donation when taking photos.
Thank you again for a great team effort!
Have a great week ahead of you!

Below is the group photos of all the volunteers and board members (see if you can find me in the group picture- back left). We will certainly be involved next year!
